ApartmentIQ offers the ability to instantly download customized data into a PDF, Excel, or CSV report. Additionally, you can schedule customized PDF and Excel reports to be sent to any user within your account as well. Let’s walk through each of these reports and their capabilities.
PDF Reports: Executive Summary
You can customize the data you wish to include or exclude in your PDF report. PDFs can be downloaded instantly, or scheduled to send on a cadence, for each of your properties within ApartmentIQ. Additionally, you can set up your PDF reports to send in bulk.
To customize the metrics within your export:
- Login to ApartmentIQ.
- Navigate to My Properties.
- Select a Market Survey property to view.
- Click Customize Metrics. From here, select and/or deselect metrics you wish you include or exclude from your login view and reporting.
To schedule/download a PDF of your market:
- Select a Market Survey property to view.
- Select Export > Executive Summary-PDF Report.
- To download instantly, click Download Now.
- To schedule your PDF to send on a cadence, enter your email and select how frequently you would like it to send to you. Click Schedule Email.
- Once downloaded or received via email, save your file and share internally or externally with key stakeholders.
Bulk schedule PDF reports for your account
You are able to schedule multiple PDF reports to automatically send to you and/or any user within your account via email on a cadence. This option is great if you oversee or manage multiple properties within your account.
To bulk schedule PDF Reports:
- Login to ApartmentIQ.
- Navigate to My Properties.
- Click Schedule PDF Reports along the top right hand side of your home screen.
From here, you can select who you would like this report to send to (enter email addresses), which subject properties you would like to include, and how frequently you would like it to be delivered. If you manage or oversee multiple properties, this will be the best way to schedule multiple reports at once.
PDF Report Data
The PDF Report will include a comp summary, market summary including customized metrics selected when scheduling, bed/unit type analysis and trends over the selected timeframe (live, 7 day, 30 day data, etc), concessions, fees, deposits, and amenities.

Excel Reports: Market Survey
You can download or schedule an Excel Report within any Market Survey Report. These reports are an excellent way to pull customized metrics into an editable report that is sorted for your needs.
To customize the metrics within your export:
- Login to ApartmentIQ.
- Navigate to My Properties.
- Select a Market Survey property to view.
- Click Customize Metrics. From here, select and/or deselect metrics you wish you include or exclude from your login view and reporting.
To schedule/download an Excel Report of your market:
- Select a Market Survey property to view.
- Select Export > Market Survey-Excel
- To download instantly, click Download Now.
- To schedule your Excel to send on a cadence, enter your email and select how frequently you would like it to send to you. Click Schedule Email.
- Once downloaded or received via email, save your file and share internally or externally with key stakeholders.
Data Within the Market Survey Excel Report
The Excel Report will include 6 separate reports - Property Summary, Market Survey, Visual Market Survey, Bed Count Data, Floor Plan Data, and Unit Level Data.
Property Summary
The Property Summary Report will include aggregate property performance metrics over the last 30, 60, and 90 days for your tracked market.
This report will allow you to identify current performance trends such as Advertised Occupancy, Leased %, and Exposure %, while quickly giving you a glimpse into historical pricing trends
Market Survey
The Market Summary Report will provide you with a current Market Survey. This report will be extracted as you have customized and filtered in ApartmentIQ.
Visual Market Survey
The Visual Market Survey will showcase property metrics in easy to read graphs and charts.

The Bed Count Data Report will showcase available unit data rolled up by bed count.
Floor Plan Data
The Floor Plan Data Report will showcase floor plan information for your property and your competition. By default, this report will pull in the last 7 days of floor plan activity. However, should you need a custom pull of the last 12 months, 2 years, etc, we encourage you to navigate to the floor plan report and customize your time range as needed prior to scheduling your excel report.
Unit Level Data
The Unit Level Data Report will list all units ApartmentIQ has seen as active listings, dating back to October of 2020.
Excel Reports: Property Details
The Property Details Excel Report gives multifamily teams full property level data in a clean, exportable format. It’s designed for people who live in Excel – analysts, revenue managers, asset managers, and investors – who need to slice, compare, and model property data fast.
To customize the metrics within your export:
- Login to ApartmentIQ.
- Navigate to My Properties.

Detailed analysis of the unit mix across properties showing the distribution of different floor plan types, bedroom configurations, and size categories, helping understand portfolio composition and market positioning.
Concessions and Specials

- Navigate to the Property Report, Unit Types Report, or Units Report.

How do I schedule a custom report or export of my Market Survey data?
- You can schedule automated PDF or Excel exports in four simple steps:
- Customize Metrics: Filter your view to include or exclude specific data points.
- Set Timeframe: Select the specific date range you want to analyze.
- Choose Format: Click the Export button and select either PDF or Excel.
- Schedule: Rather than downloading immediately, select the scheduling option to set your preferred delivery cadence.
How do I change the metrics in a scheduled Report?
To update the metrics in an existing report, you must delete the current schedule and create a new one with your desired settings.
- Delete the old report: Navigate to Scheduled Reports on the main navigation bar. Locate the specific report and delete it.
- Configure new metrics: Return to your Market Survey and customize the metrics and timeframe to your new preferences.
- Reschedule: Click Export, select your format (PDF or Excel), and set up your new delivery schedule.
