Another way to extract information from your data in ApartmentIQ's Market Survey feaure is to manipulate the columns in your reports to compare data. There are a few ways to do this - we can pin our subject property in the market survey report, drag and drop columns, and freeze columns to the left. Let’s discuss each of these ways to compare data.

Pin Your Subject Property

In the ApartmentIQ Market Survey Report, you have the ability to pin your subject property. This allows you to keep your subject property to the far left of your data set, while still being able to sort your data and note how your property ranks.

To pin your subject property, simply select the pin icon. From here, leverage the ability to sort your customized metrics from high to low, or low to high. You will notice a ranking score below the properties name.

In this example, I have sorted by “Year Built”  and pinned my subject property.

Drag and Drop Columns

Another way to manipulate your data is to drag and drop your data columns within the Property, Unit Types, and Units Reports.

To drag and drop columns:

  • Navigate to the Floor Plan, Units, or Historicals Report along the top of your dashboard.

  • Once on your preferred report, navigate to your data tables. Select any metric of your choice using your mouse. Click and drag to your preferred data placement. This will allow you to better compare metrics that are important to you.

Freeze Columns to the Left

Similarly to pinning your subject property, you can also freeze various metrics to the left within the Property, Unit Types, and Units Report.

To freeze columns to the left:

  • Navigate to the Property, Unit Types, or Units Report along the top of your dashboard by clicking Data.

  • Hover next to the metric you would like to freeze to the left. Click freeze left. This can be helpful if you would like to compare your selected metric to other metrics within your data set.
