Applying filters to your reports within ApartmentIQ's Market Survey feature allows you to curate a customized view of your data. Filters can be applied on any ApartmentIQ report in the form of a Properties Filter, or generalized filter.

Properties Filter

The Properties Filter can be applied on any Market Survey report.

Perhaps one of your competitors has been crushing leasing activity this month, and you want to see how your property directly compares. Or, maybe you want to deep dive how your individual units compare when looking at what units have leased in the last 30 days, versus what has become available. This is where the Property Filter can come in handy.

To apply a Property Filter:

  • Click into your preferred subject property.

  • Navigate to your preferred report.

  • Click Properties along the top of your dashboard.

  • Select the properties you would like to filter by. Click apply.

  • The data within your reports will now adjust to reflect information only from those selected properties.

Filters

Filters allow you to view your data based on selected and/or defined combinations of bedrooms, bathrooms, size, rent, date of availability, and year built.

For example, perhaps you need to dive deeper into how your 2 bed, 2 bath units are performing in direct comparison to other 2 bed, 2 bath properties in your market. Or, perhaps your 1 bedroom floor plans vary in size, so you want to be able to directly compare your larger, more expensive units, directly with other units of comparable size and price range. Leveraging filters to accomplish these comparisons will help you zoom in on your data.

To apply a filter:

  • Click into your preferred subject property.

  • Navigate to your preferred report.

  • Click Filters along the top of your dashboard.

  • Select the Filters you would like to sort by. For example, two bed, two bath units only. Click apply.

  • The data within your reports will now adjust to reflect information only from those selected filters.

You can now directly compare your property to your desired competitive properties with ease by navigating any report within ApartmentIQ.

Pricing and Availability Filters

Need to filter your pricing and availability metrics? We’ve got you covered! You have the option to toggle between Lowest Rent, Average, and Absolute Minimum.

  • Lowest Rent shows values for the unit with minimum asking rent. In other words, this filter will show you metrics all based on the lowest priced unit of this bed type (a singular unit).

  • Average shows the average across all available units for each metric.

  • Absolute Minimum shows the minimum value of each metric, allowing for values from different units. In other words, we will show you the cheapest option, across all units you have available, for each metric.

You also have the option to view your data grouped by Bed Type, or by metric.

  • Bed Type will showcase all data for your studios, 1 beds, 2 beds etc grouped together.
