What is Whitelisting?

Whitelisting is adding trusted email addresses or domains to an approved list, ensuring their messages aren't marked as spam. This is an important action led by your IT team because it ensures you receive important emails from ApartmentIQ directly in your inbox without any issues.
 

How to Whitelist Email Domains

To ensure that emails from us are not blocked by your organization’s email filters, please request your IT department to whitelist our email domains by following the directions below.

To ensure that emails from us are not blocked by your organization’s email filters, please request your IT department to whitelist our email domains by following the directions below.


1. Provide your IT Team with ApartmentIQ's email domains

@getapartmentiq.com

@apartmentiq.io

@rentable.co

@abodo.com


2. Update Email Filtering Rules

Your IT department should configure email settings to allow emails from our domains. They may need to:

  • Add the domains to the Approved or Safe Senders List
  • Ensure that emails from these domains are not flagged as spam or junk.
  • Whitelist the domains in any security gateway or firewall settings that might be blocking emails.


3. Check Anti-Spam Settings

If your organization uses third-party spam filtering services (like Barracuda, Proofpoint, or Mimecast), IT may need to adjust settings there as well to ensure delivery from our domains.


4. Test Email Deliverability 

After making the necessary changes, we recommend testing the process by having our team send a test email to a user within your organization to confirm that our emails are properly delivered.
